Our Year 6 pupils visited hafan Y Coed Care Home to read to the residents (who thoroughly enjoyed it!)

We had a fantastic ELF DAY in December!!
The school's Year 4 and 5 Girls took part in a Scarlets TAG Festival at Trimsaran RFC in November.
The School observed Remembrance Day on November 11th
We had a fantastic Dirwnod Shwmae in October.
Pupils from Y1&2 visited Burry Port in September - their theme in school this term is 'Coastlines.' They had a fantastic day!
Our year 5 pupils took part in the Coedcae Cluster Concert in June. They were magnificent!!

VE Day 2025 - The school celebrated VE Day 80 years in May. All our pupils enjoyed the events of the day and we had a Street Party with food and music!
URDD 2025 - Congratulations to Alis Munson (Y5) for representing the school at the URDD Finals at Margam Park in May. Her performances on both Piano and Clarinet were spectacular!
LLANELLI JUNIOR TRADERS EVENT 2025 - Our Year 6 pupils took part in a Trading Event in Llanelli. Ten schools took part. They chose, designed, costed and sold products to the public. They made £143 profit!!
Our Year 6 pupils had an amazing residential stay at the Llain Outdoor Activity Centre near Aberaeron in early April.
The School celebrated World Book Day on 6th March. The children brought in their favourite book and wore their favourite pyjamas!
All classes celebrated Neurodiversity Week in March.
Carmarthenshire's new Director of Education, Owain Lloyd, visited the school in March. He was given a tour of the school and the Recorder Group and Choir performed for him.
Pupils from Y4-6 took part in MISS SCHOOL, MISS OUT attendance workshops in January 2025
Children form Y2-6 enjoyed rugby skills sessions from Rhys at the Scarlets.
SPORTS DAY 2024 - we had a fabulous day at the Scarlets Indoor Training Barn!
Ooh La La French Day - the whole school celebrated everything French on the 21st June, the language, food and culture. Magnifique!!
Our Middle Phase pupils were invited to Hafan Y Coed Care Home to welcome a group of cyclists who were riding 200 miles for charity. They had a fantastic time and were thoroughly spoilt
Pupils in the Middle and Upper Phases had an amazing experience learning how to Skateboard in May 2024. They loved every minute of it!!
Our Y6 Pupils too part in the Llanelli Junior Traders competition. They were given a sum of money from the Town Council and made products to sell to the public. They set up a Market Stall in the town centre and competed against other local schools. It was a fantastic 'Entrepreneurial' experience for them and we are very proud of their achievement.

Paolo from The Llanelli Community Partnership held workshops for the Upper Phase on healthy eating. The children made fruit kebabs!
Coedcae Cluster Concert at Theatre Ffwrnes - Our Children performed magnificently on stage in front of full houses.

HARRIET DUNN - Y3 - rode her bicycle from London to Newport during half term to raise money for the Stroke Association and in memory of her Grandfather. What a fantastic achievement! We are so proud of you, Harriet!

Llongyfarchiadau - congratulations to our RECORDER GROUP who reached the finals at the Urdd Eisteddfod 2023.They performed beautifully on stage in front of a large crowd and to a live TV audience
There were big celebrations across the school for King Charles 111's Coronation.
Y6 pupils were invited to meet the Llanelli Mayor in his Parlour in May. They had the opportunity to ask him questions about his role as Town Mayor.
Pupils from Y6 had a residential stay at the Llain Activity Centre, Aberaeron at the end of April. They took part in numerous adventurous activities, including climbing and abseiling, kayaking, archery, team games, and mud runs. They had a fabulous time!!
Y6 pupils had an exciting morning on BMX bikes with the Fusion Extreme Team.
Our pupils had a wonderful time on World Book Day in March . They wore their pyjamas to school and brought in their favourite bedtime story!

All pupils in Y3 are learning to play the FLUTE thanks to support from the Carmarthenshire Music Service.
Pupils from Y 4 have just completed a 3 week swimming course at the Llanelli Leisure Centre. Congratulations to our SWIMMERS of the WEEK!
Scarlets, Wales and British Lions legend Derek Quinnell visited the school to talk to our pupils about his life as a rugby player and in particular about the day 50 years ago when the Scarlets beat the All Blacks.
Our BOOK SLAM Team represented Carmarthenshire at the recent National Finals in Aberystwyth, competing against schools from counties across the nation. We didn't place in the top 3 this year, but the Team did us proud with their performances.
The School Football Team was invited to play at the official opening of the Cruyff Foundation MUGA at Penyfan Park. They played against Bigyn school and won 7-6.
QUEEN ELIZABETH PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
Y6 pupils had a fantastic 3 days at the Llain Activity Centre near Aberaeron. Look at all the amazing activities they did!
Y6 pupils had a morning of Drama and Dance at Coleg Sir Gar.
Our Year 6 pupil Rory Tucker has been learning about what is happening in Ukraine and has decided to donate ALL of his birthday and Christmas money - £110!
Rory said "I was originally going to buy lots of Pokemon cards but when I realised what was going on I took my money to school so that they could donate it to Ukraine."
We are incredibly proud of Rory!
Mrs Gandanhamo visited the Lower Phase to read stories and perform traditional dance from her native country, Zimbabwe. The children had a super time!
